A little talk where he talks about Dynaflex & security packaging solutions.
Tell us about Dynaflex
Dynaflex is Asia’s largest manufacturer of security and tamper evident packaging products, offering 360 degree packaging solutions to a host of prestigious clientele comprising over top Indian conglomerates and MNCs. Dynaflex’s Dynasafe security & tamper evident range of products range from the day to day used poly mailers to courier bags to tamper evident envelopes used for national security to the most complicated security bags used in international aviation or defence services.

Niranjan Vora is a Post graduate in mechanical engineering from USA. In 1971, he with his savings & Govt. loan to technocrats started one of India’s 1st printed packaging companies with all German machinery in Vadodara. With an urge to be always ahead of the industry he went on to start Dynaflex Pvt Ltd. in 1985.
Today, at 73 he is as active and as involved in day to day management as on day one and is also the president of IFTA-Indian Flexographic Technological Association which promotes better quality of printing in the industry using flexographic printing technology.
Due to his guidance Dynaflex Pvt Ltd is on the forefront of in the world producing such high security & tamper evident products where only a handful such companies exists.
How exactly do you help brands with your packing solutions?
Critical issues are faced by different segments of society pertaining to safe movement of cash, confidential documents and valuables such as evidence for Police Services, examination papers, diamonds, precious metals, foreign exchange, election papers, cash in-transits, passport etc. Globally not more than a handful companies manufacture such high security tamper evident bags & envelopes, as the infrastructure required to assure the reliability is difficult in terms of machinery, standards, people and technology. We at Dynaflex address these issues through our Dynasafe security and tamper evident range of products.
For e.g. consider these two hypothetical scenarios
Scenario 1: Conventional Cloth / Polynet Envelopes: If a passport sent by post/courier in a conventional cloth or polynet envelope is tampered with or opened and sealed again [very easy, common practice in conventional envelopes] one will not even come to know ever that the packaging has been tampered with and that the passport is misused.
Scenario 2: Dynasafe tamper evident envelopes: On the contrary a document sent in a security and tamper evident envelope shows a warning “tampered /void/stop” on it, if it is tampered with.
How it all started and what is your biggest breakthrough?
When Mr. Mukesh Ambani announced Dhirubhai pioneer scheme for Reliance mobile, the target was to book the connection and deliver 1 crore phones at customers’ doorstep via courier/ logistics provider. Dynaflex seized this opportunity and this challenge became the starting point for Dynaflex to get into tamper evident packaging after it won the order against a European company. Thus the journey of Dynaflex Pvt. Ltd. into tamper evident envelopes & bags began.

Mr. Gaurav Vora has more than 15 years of experience in specialty packaging and security products industry. A visionary, he developed the tamper evident line in India by supplying 1 crore such high security envelopes with the launch of Dhirubhai Ambani pioneer scheme where mobiles were going to be delivered across India by courier against global competition. He has taken extensive training in specialty packaging from Europe & has worked in similar global leading Companies in Scotland, Germany, Italy and Spain
Tell us about the difficulties you faced while starting up ?
In India, a court ruling requires that only those evidences wrapped in cloth and sealed with wax will be admissible in the court. We understand the rule and we are trying to convince the concerned authorities to modify them and adopt better technology like tamper evident envelopes. Convincing the authorities is the biggest obstacle we are facing.
How do you plan to expand further ?
We are today leaders in online shopping tear-free envelopes and allied supplies used in shipping products sold online, with all the major serious players like flipkart, yehbhi, eBay, Zoomin, Myntra, Hoopos, Infibeam and all major courier companies like DHL blue dart etc partnering with us .
The online shopping industry will grow at a stupendous rate and our current infrastructure with planned expansion will ensure growth of 50-100% annually in this segment.
This product is developed in-house and is patented. The technology, its reliability and our experience gives us a leadership position in Asia with only a handful of them in the world.
Doubling of our capacity has already happened with internal accruals and the plan is to increase capacity by 4 folds in the next 2 years & setting up marketing offices in various African & middle eastern countries apart from all India .
Do you look for Funding?
We plan to raise about 25 cores / 5 million US$ in coming year and are exploring debt as well as venture capital funding.
How do you use Social Media for your Business ?
Currently we use Google adwords, LinkedIn ads and multiple websites to reach out to our customer base in different parts of the world to grow business. Other social mediums & interactive platform including online shopping will play a significant part in the coming years. As e-commerce players areas our major customers, our presence in social media platforms is a must. Most B2B buyers spend a lot of time on research and social media is going mainstream resulting in sales conversions. That’s why, tapping the social medium space to reach out to them is important.
